Description: "Protect the Ozone, Protect Life" On the occasion of World Ozone Day, 16th September, the SST and Eco Club Department of our school conducted a special assembly to spread awareness about the importance of the ozone layer - the Earth's protective shield. The assembly began with a thought-provoking speech on the history of Ozone Day, marking the signing of the Montreal Protocol in 1987, the most successful environmental treaty in history. Students highlighted how small actions like avoiding CFCs and choosing eco-friendly products can heal the blue commons above us. The highlight of the day was a vibrant Nukkad Natak presented by the students of Social science department and eco club. Through humour, emotion and powerful dialogues, the young actors depicted the story of Mother Earth suffering due to pollution and how Ozone - her invisible protector - is being depleted by human greed. The characters of Sun, CFC Gas, and a Scientist left the audience both entertained and enlightened. The performance received a huge round of applause. The assembly concluded with a solemn pledge, administered by the Eco Club Incharge, where all students and teachers vowed to adopt ozone-friendly habits, plant more trees, and spread the message of sustainable living under the mission of LiFE - Lifestyle for Environment. It was not just an assembly, but a call to action - reminding us that the sky is not just above us, it belongs to all of us.
