Description: The Convent of Jesus and Mary, Chelsea celebrated St. Joseph Feast and Helper's Day On 2 May 2026 with great enthusiasm and gratitude. The programme was organised by St. Joseph House, with the students of Class 8 as hosts and participants from Yellow House students of Classes 6 to 12. The event was a heartfelt tribute to all the helpers whose dedication and service contribute immensely to the smooth functioning of the school The programme began with a warm welcome to the helpers as they were escorted to the auditorium and presented with cards, badges, and flower sticks as tokens of love and appreciation. This thoughtful gesture made them feel valued and honoured. An introduction highlighting the significance of Helper's Day in reference to St. Joseph followed. Students beautifully connected the life of St. Joseph-known for his humility, hard work, and selfless service-with the tireless efforts of the helpers who serve the school community every day The gathering then moved into a prayer service, hymn, song and a graceful welcome dance that filled the atmosphere with joy and reverence. A PowerPoint presentation further showcased the life and values of St. Joseph while drawing parallels with the dedication of the helpers One of the highlights of the event was the Dance Drama, which creatively portrayed the importance of respect, kindness, and gratitude towards those who work behind the scenes. The performance was appreciated by all present To add excitement and fun, games were organised specially for the helpers. Laughter and cheerful participation made this segment lively and memorable. Winners were later felicitated during the prize distribution ceremony by the respected Sister, followed by an inspiring speech by the Housemistress. A special speech by Bhaiya Ram expressed heartfelt appreciation for the helpers and acknowledged their silent yet invaluable contributions. The programme concluded with a sincere vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Principal, teachers, students, and especially the helpers who are an integral part of the school family. The celebration was truly a meaningful occasion that reminded everyone of the dignity of labour and the importance of appreciating those who serve selflessly each day
